Finch Nest
Marloth Park in Mpumalanga is a true paradise and sits snugly against the southern Crocodile River border of the Kruger National Park! It is the ideal place where you can experience peace and tranquillity and fully recharge your batteries.
In Marloth Park you don't have to drive around during the day to see animals — they roam freely between the properties, streets and yes, people, whether you are at home or if you are out for a walk, jogging or cycling.
Finch Nest, situated in Marloth Park, is a secluded and ideally located self-catering couples retreat or honeymoon suite. The area is referred to as the “giraffe plains” and has lovely Jackalberry bushes in the area.
It is open plan, has an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a well-equipped kitchen. All the equipment is new, and the unit is fully equipped. We provide all linen and towels.
Guests only need to bring their own swimming towels!

The house is secluded, with parkland and an empty stand as two of the "neighbours". The Kruger National Park's fence is less than 600 metres from the house, so on some nights you can catch an Oscar-winning performance of Lions roaring, or the surprisingly happy-sounding twists of Hyenas, or the extremely loud howling and moaning of Hippos fighting for territory in the nearby Crocodile River!
Relax outside on a large patio, day or night, while admiring wildlife, the stars, or simply staring into the flames of your fire. A secluded "splash pool" relieves the heat during the day while plains animals such as Giraffes, Zebras, Blue Wildebeest, Impalas and more wander by!
With air conditioning and solar power, one does not have to worry about the scorching hot days, or loadshedding. We have a 5000L JoJo tank as well, for in-case there are water supply problems.

Krokodil Rus

Krokodil Rus (Crocodile Rest), situated in Marloth Park, is secluded in an open canopy woodland area, which attracts many birds of different species. It is an ideally situated self-catering three-bedroom house (Sleeps 6) that has been newly built (March 2024), so all the furniture, linen and equipment is new!
Guest just needs to bring their own swimming towels!

The well-equipped kitchen, dining room and living room is open plan, with three separate bedrooms. The spacious main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and a wheelchair accessible shower. The two other bedrooms are also very spacious. The second bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Relax outside on a large patio, the wooden deck, or in the pool, while admiring wildlife walking by. Or stare at the stars, or into the flames of your fire at night.
The house is nicely secluded, with parkland on two sides. The Kruger National Park's fence is less than 200 meters from the holiday home, so on some nights you may get an Oscar winning performance from Lions, the surprisingly happy-sounding whoops of Hyenas or the extremely loud moans and grunts of Hippos duelling for territory in the nearby crocodile river!
A large splash pool ensures that you can endure the summer heat, while animals such as Zebras, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Bushbuck and more wander past! We have now also installed a boma, as well as a gas braai with breakfast pan, for those days when the wind may gust, or if you got home late but still want to braai.
With air-conditioning units in all the bedrooms and the living room, and solar power, one does not have to worry about the scorching hot days, or loadshedding. We have a 5000L JoJo tank as well, for in-case there are water supply problems.
